About Stephanie Meade

President and founder of The Collegiate Edge, Stephanie Meade has worked with teen-agers preparing for college since 1989. Stephanie has personally worked with hundreds of students, and has designed and written curricula for tutoring companies and supervised the training of hundreds of tutors.

Since 1997, Stephanie has been building a network of highly-qualified, professional tutors in the Los Angeles area, and has developed superior curricula and programs for SAT preparation and long-term academic support.

About Our Tutors

Our tutors represent an exceptional group of gifted teachers, each with an innate, natural teaching style and a complete mastery of subjects taught.

Tutors are selected in all areas of expertise for their great communication skills, their ability to motivate and inspire students, and their willingness and ability to accept the Collegiate Edge's high standards as their own. Many have worked with the Collegiate Edge for years.

Our tutors include credentialed teachers, professional writers, and advanced degree holders, and all have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Colleges attended include Brown, Claremont McKenna, Cornell, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, New York University, Northwestern, Stanford, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, University of Chicago, University of Southern California, and Yale.

Their work with students is closely supervised through monitoring and continuing education sessions. Working together, our staff designs and adjusts methodology to implement the best style and strategy of teaching for each student.
