Initial Assessment/Consultation

Work with The Collegiate Edge begins with an initial consultation with Stephanie Meade. This comprehensive conversation allows students and parents to begin work together with a common set of goals and expectations. It includes an in-depth discussion of the current school situation, courses and academic history, teacher comments, test scores, and the student's natural strengths and areas needing improvement. Any ADD, ADHD or learning differences (if applicable) are also considered.

The consultation usually includes detailed planning of course selection and standardized test scheduling, and serves as a placement tool for the choice of tutor(s) and schedule best suited to the student.

Initial consultations generally last 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
